Plant in moist, well-drained, acidic soil (pH 4.5–6.0) with generous organic matter. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Water consistently after planting- andromeda prefers reliably moist, acidic conditions. Little pruning is needed. Fertilize lightly in spring with an acid fertilizer. Passion Frost has an attractive, frosted variegation pattern with soft, creamy margins on dark green leaves- the frosted, bicolored foliage is ornamental year-round. The graceful, nodding, white flower clusters in spring are a beautiful bonus. The evergreen foliage provides reliable year-round interest in the shaded acidic garden. Largely pest-free.
