Shipping Information
At Spotswood Greenery, we don’t just sell plants; we are plant people! We know the anxiety of ordering a live plant online, which is why we have perfected our packaging to ensure your plant arrives safe, hydrated, and ready to grow.
Order Processing
We know you are eager to get planting! Plants generally ship within 2 business days of receiving your order. You will receive a tracking number via email as soon as the order starts processing.
Where We Ship (State Restrictions)
Due to state agricultural laws and climate conditions, we have specific shipping restrictions:
-
No Shipping: We are unable to ship to Idaho or Hawaii at this time.
-
Seasonal Shipping (West Coast): For customers in AZ, CA, MT, NV, OR, UT, & WA, we only ship between October 1 – May 31.
How We Ship: Roots, Not Stems
We ship established plants in nursery containers
-
Secure Packaging: Your plant is shipped in its nursery pot. We use custom-engineered packaging that locks the pot in place so the plant cannot slide, crush, or break during transit.
-
Hydration: We water your plant thoroughly before shipping and wrap the pot to retain moisture. Your plant will arrive hydrated and ready for its new home.
-
Carrier: We ship via UPS to ensure the quickest transit time from our nursery to your door.
The Arrive Alive Guarantee
We guarantee that your plants will arrive healthy and true to variety.
If your plant arrives damaged or otherwise not as expected:
-
Snap a Photo: Take a picture of the damaged plant and the box it came in.
-
Contact Us: Text us the photos and a brief description of the issue at 959-310-1210 or email us at info@spotswoodgreenery.com within 3 days of delivery.
-
We Make It Right: We will issue a replacement or a full refund immediately.
Note: Minor broken branches or yellowing leaves are common after transit and do not affect the long-term health of the plant. However, if the main stem is broken or the root ball is crushed, we will replace it at no charge to you, including shipping.
See our full 1 year warranty for claims beyond the initial arrival period
A Note on Seasonality (Dormancy)
If you order in early Spring or late Fall, your plant may arrive dormant.
-
What this looks like: The plant may have no leaves, or the leaves may be brown/yellow.
-
This is normal: The plant is "sleeping" for the winter. In fact, cool weather is actually the best time to plant! It allows the roots to establish before the summer heat.
