Planting Tips

Plant in average, well-drained soil. Space 4–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought. Prune by removing one-third of the oldest canes at the base immediately after the main spring flowering flush. Fertilize lightly in early spring. Largely pest-free. The warm, golden-yellow to amber foliage provides excellent long-season color contrast in the mixed border. The pink tubular flowers in spring are attractive to hummingbirds. A distinctive and eye-catching weigela selection for its unusual foliage color.
