Penny® Denim Jump Up Viola

Plant in early spring or fall in moist, well-drained, fertile soil. Penny Denim is a viola with soft, denim-blue and yellow bicolor flowers — a charming, unusual color combination. Violas are cool-season plants best suited to spring and fall when temperatures are cool. Space plants 6–9 inches apart and water regularly. They are more cold-tolerant than pansies.

Deadhead spent flowers regularly to keep new blooms forming. Fertilize every two to three weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Water consistently. Violas are smaller-flowered and typically more cold-tolerant than pansies — they can bloom through mild winters and naturalize over time by self-seeding. The soft denim-blue and yellow color combination of Penny Denim is gentle and refined, excellent for containers and cool-season garden color.
