Honeycomb Blue Grama Grass

Plant in average to poor, well-drained to dry soil. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Thrives in lean conditions- avoid rich or overly moist soils.

Water regularly after planting to establish, then reduce significantly- highly drought tolerant once established and prefers drier conditions. Cut back to a few inches in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. No fertilization needed- lean soil produces the best performance and most compact growth. Very few pest or disease issues. The distinctive comb-like seed heads are ornamentally interesting from summer through winter and attract seed-eating birds.
