Plant Bristleleaf Sedge in early spring or fall. Choose a location with full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. Space plants 12-18 inches apart. Water regularly to establish roots, then reduce frequency as the plant matures. Fertilize lightly in spring with a balanced fertilizer. Trim back dead foliage in late winter or early spring to encourage new growth. Divide clumps every 2-3 years to maintain vigor.
