Planting Tips

Plant in moist to average, well-drained soil. Space 12–15 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought but looks best with consistent moisture. Cut back to a few inches in early spring before new growth emerges- do not cut back in fall, as the fine-textured foliage and delicate seed heads provide attractive winter interest. Divide every 3–4 years in spring when the center begins to die out. No fertilization generally needed. A compact, refined ornamental grass with airy, transparent seed heads that catch light beautifully from midsummer through winter.
