Blue Lyme Grass

Plant in average to lean, well-drained to dry soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. This grass spreads by rhizomes- plant where it can spread or contain it with a root barrier.

Water regularly after planting; once established it is highly drought tolerant. Blue lyme grass spreads aggressively by underground runners- divide every 2–3 years in spring to control spread, or use a root barrier to contain it. Cut back to a few inches in early spring. No fertilization needed. Largely pest-free. The intensely steel-blue, ribbon-like foliage is among the brightest blues of any ornamental grass and is particularly striking in hot, dry, sunny settings. Best used as a contained specimen or in difficult dry areas.
