Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Highly adaptable to clay and poor soils.

Care Tips

Water regularly the first season; once established it is highly drought tolerant. Cut back to 4–6 inches in late winter or early spring — do not cut back in fall. Divide every 4–5 years in spring. No fertilization needed. Largely pest-free. Apache Rose has particularly vivid, rosy-red fall color that develops early and holds through the season — the warm, sunset-rose tones are outstanding. The upright, well-branched habit is sturdy and architectural. An excellent Prairie Winds® selection for bold four-season ornamental impact.
