Plant in moist to wet, humus-rich soil or at the edge of a pond or stream where roots can reach water. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting.

Care Tips

Keep the soil consistently moist to wet- marsh marigold naturally grows in bogs, stream edges, and wet meadows and requires reliable moisture to thrive. After the spring bloom and as summer heat arrives, the plant goes dormant- this is normal. Mark its location to avoid disturbing it. Do not divide or disturb established clumps unnecessarily. No fertilization is generally needed in fertile, moist soil. The vivid, buttercup-yellow flowers in early spring are among the earliest native wildflower blooms of the season.
