Whorls of tiny lilac flowers appear in the leaf axils of this highly aromatic native plant. It thrives in wet areas and can be used to flavor teas and dishes.

Plant wild mint in well-drained soil with partial to full sun exposure. Space plants 12-18 inches apart. Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Mint can spread aggressively, so consider using containers or barriers to control growth. Harvest leaves regularly to encourage bushier growth.
