Large, deep red tubular flowers are a favorite of hummingbirds and bloom for weeks in summer. This variety is one of the most mildew-resistant bee balms available, keeping its foliage healthy.

Plant Jacob Cline Bee Balm in full sun to partial shade. Space plants 18-24 inches apart. Use well-drained, moist soil. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, to keep the soil consistently moist. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers. Divide clumps every 2-3 years in early spring or fall to maintain vigor. Protect from powdery mildew by ensuring good air circulation and avoiding overhead watering.
