Gold Prinz Rhododendron

Plant in spring in acidic, moist, well-drained soil with afternoon shade protection. Gold Prinz is a compact rhododendron with golden-yellow flowers — a sought-after color in cold-hardy rhododendrons. Amend soil with peat or acidic compost. Set root ball at or just above grade, mulch 3–4 inches deep, and water well. Choose a sheltered site away from harsh winds.

Remove spent flower clusters after bloom. Feed with an acid fertilizer in early spring. Keep soil consistently moist. Replenish mulch annually.
