Fox Valley® Dwarf River Birch

Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Space 8–12 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 3–4 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the trunk.

Water deeply and regularly the first 2–3 seasons- river birch prefers consistently moist soil. Once established it tolerates brief dry periods but performs best with regular moisture. Fox Valley® is a very compact, dwarf river birch ideal for smaller landscapes where standard river birch would be too large. The cinnamon-brown to cream, exfoliating bark is spectacular year-round. Largely pest-free and more heat-tolerant than most birches. The vivid golden-yellow fall foliage completes the ornamental display.
