Plant Fox Valley® Dwarf River Birch in well-drained, acidic soil with full sun to partial shade. Space trees 10-12 feet apart. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, to keep the soil consistently moist. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing branches and maintain shape. Protect from strong winds and provide additional water during drought conditions.
