Unique among the native goldenrods for having creamy white flower spikes instead of yellow. It thrives in dry shade, bringing light and pollinator activity to the woodland understory.

Plant Silverrod in well-drained soil with full sun to partial shade. Space plants 12-18 inches apart. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. Once established, it is drought-tolerant. Fertilize lightly in early spring. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms. Divide clumps every 3-4 years in early spring to maintain vigor.
