Evergold Variegated Japanese Sedge

Plant in spring or fall in moist, well-drained soil amended with compost. Space 12–15 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly around the base.

Water consistently- steady moisture maintains the attractive golden-variegated foliage. Trim back winter-damaged tips in early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring when clumps become crowded. Feed lightly in spring with a balanced fertilizer. Largely pest-free. The striking yellow-and-green striped foliage brightens shaded areas and combines beautifully with hostas, astilbes, and other shade perennials.
