Unique, hooded pink flowers resemble the head of a turtle and bloom late in the season when other plants are fading. This native perennial loves moisture and adds a touch of whimsy to wet areas.

Plant Turtlehead in early spring or fall in a location with partial to full sun. Ensure the soil is consistently moist and rich in organic matter. Space plants about 18-24 inches apart. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, to maintain soil moisture. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced fertilizer. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms. Divide clumps every 3-4 years in early spring to maintain vigor.
