Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch around the base to retain moisture and keep roots cool.

Care Tips

Water consistently in spring and early summer during active growth and bloom. This plant naturally goes dormant in summer heat- the foliage yellows and dies back, which is completely normal. Plan neighboring plants to fill in the gap. Do not remove foliage until it has yellowed and died back naturally. Divide every 3–4 years in early spring. Slugs may be an issue on young growth. All parts of the plant are toxic if ingested.
