Golden Variegated Japanese Forest Grass

Plant in moist, well-drained soil amended with compost. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch around the base.

Water consistently throughout the season- this grass needs steady moisture to look its best and will scorch in hot, dry conditions. The golden-and-green variegated foliage cascades gracefully and is most attractive with some afternoon shade. Cut back to a few inches in early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring to rejuvenate. Fertilize lightly in spring with a balanced fertilizer. Largely pest-free. An outstanding foliage plant for brightening shaded borders and mixed containers.
