Plant Shadowland® Empress Wu Hosta in a location with partial to full shade. Ensure the soil is well-draining and rich in organic matter. Space plants about 4 to 5 feet apart to accommodate their large size. Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Remove spent leaves and flower stalks to encourage healthy growth. Protect from slugs and snails, which can damage the foliage.
