Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 3–5 feet apart- this is a very large hosta. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Care Tips

Water consistently and generously throughout the season. Monitor for slugs and snails. Cut back all foliage in late fall after frost. Divide every 5–6 years in spring if desired. Fertilize lightly in spring. Wu-La-La is a sibling of the legendary Empress Wu and one of the largest hostas available. The enormous, deeply corrugated, blue-green leaves form an extraordinary mound with monumental presence. Site it prominently where its incredible scale can be the centerpiece of a shaded area.
