Wide Brim Hosta

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 24–30 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Water consistently throughout the season. Monitor for slugs and snails, especially in wet conditions. The dark green leaves with a wide, creamy-white margin are bold and attractive through the season. Cut back all foliage in late fall. Divide every 4–5 years in spring if desired. Fertilize lightly in spring. A medium to large hosta with a classic, high-contrast variegation pattern that works well as a specimen or in mass plantings.
