Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 12–15 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch to retain moisture.

Care Tips

Water consistently throughout the season- bishop's cap prefers reliably moist, cool woodland conditions. The delicate, intricate white flowers on slender stems in spring are extraordinarily beautiful up close. The attractive, lobed foliage provides interest through the growing season. Little maintenance is required- remove any old or tattered leaves in early spring. Divide every 4–5 years in spring if desired. No fertilization generally needed. Largely pest-free. An excellent, refined native groundcover for cool, shaded woodland gardens.
