Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in moist to wet, humus-rich soil. Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch generously to retain moisture.

Care Tips

Water consistently and generously- cinnamon fern is a native woodland and wetland plant that thrives with reliable moisture and tolerates wet conditions very well. The distinctive cinnamon-colored fertile fronds in spring are a unique ornamental feature. Remove old or tattered fronds in early spring before new growth emerges. Divide large clumps every 4–5 years in spring if desired. No fertilization is generally needed in organically rich, moist soil. Largely pest-free and deer resistant.
