Ruby Slippers Solomon's Seal

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep to retain moisture.

Water consistently throughout the season- Solomon's seal prefers reliably moist conditions. Once established it tolerates moderate drought in shade but looks best with steady moisture. Little maintenance is required- cut back the arching stems in late fall after the foliage turns yellow. Divide every 4–5 years in early spring. Largely pest-free. The arching stems with dangling white bells in spring and attractive blue-black berries and yellow fall color make this a superb multi-season shade perennial.
