Spot On Lungwort

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 12–15 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch to retain moisture.

Water consistently throughout the season — lungwort prefers reliably moist, cool, shaded conditions. Cut back spent flower spikes after bloom. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. Fertilize lightly in spring. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. Spot On has particularly vivid, heavily spotted, silver-and-green foliage — the bold spotting and variegation is among the most striking of any lungwort selection. The foliage is ornamental all season in the shade garden. The tubular, bi-colored flowers in early spring transition from pink to blue on the same plant, creating a charming two-toned effect.
