Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in moist, well-drained soil in a shaded or partially shaded location, spacing 12–18 inches apart. Raspberry Splash produces rosy-pink flowers in spring and has attractively silver-spotted foliage that provides season-long interest. Incorporate compost into the planting area and water well. Mulch lightly to retain moisture. Avoid hot, dry, or sunny sites.

Care Tips

After the spring bloom, cut back all foliage to the ground if it looks tired in summer heat — fresh, new, attractively spotted leaves will emerge within a few weeks. Keep soil consistently moist. Divide every three to four years in spring. No fertilizing is needed in organically rich soil. The raspberry-pink flowers in spring and the silver-spotted foliage throughout summer make this one of the most ornamental lungworts available.
