Penny® Orange Jump-up Viola

Plant in early spring or fall in moist, well-drained, fertile soil. Penny Orange is a compact viola with small, cheerful orange flowers — an unusual color in the viola family. Violas are cool-season plants that perform best in spring and fall. Space plants 6–9 inches apart and water regularly. They tolerate light frost and often overwinter in mild climates.

Deadhead spent flowers regularly to keep new blooms coming. As summer heat arrives, violas often decline or go dormant — they may revive in fall's cool weather. Fertilize every two to three weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Water consistently. The compact, refined Penny series violas are excellent for containers, window boxes, and cool-season border color. Violas often self-seed and naturalize over time in appropriate conditions.
