Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in average to fertile, well-drained soil. Space 4–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; drought tolerant once established. Prune only immediately after flowering- forsythia blooms on old wood, and pruning at any other time eliminates the spring bloom. Remove the oldest, woodiest stems at the base after flowering each year to keep the plant vigorous. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer in early spring.
