This hybrid Phlox forms a low, mounding habit of bright purple flowers with a tiny white halo in the center. It blooms about a week or so after Phlox subulata and does not spread aggressively.

Plant Purple Sprite Hybrid Spring Phlox in well-drained soil with full sun to partial shade. Space plants 12-18 inches apart. Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Fertilize with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and promote bushier growth. Protect from extreme heat and cold.
