Pairs well with

Suñorita opens orange-gold buds into soft orange flowers that cover the plant from late spring to frost. Rosa Suñorita grows 36 to 48 inches tall and wide in full sun, hardy from Zone 5 through Zone 9.

Bloom is continuous rather than in flushes, and the flowers are semi-double with an open center.

At three to four feet in both directions this is a substantial shrub rather than a low landscape rose, which makes it usable as an informal hedge or a back-of-border plant.

Disease resistance is high and the plant is vigorous, so the foliage holds clean through humid summers with no spray program. Give it full sun and well-drained soil, and cut back by about a third in early spring. Shipped on its own roots.

Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first season. No deadheading required for continuous bloom. Prune back by one-third in early spring. Fertilize with a balanced rose fertilizer in spring and midsummer. Outstanding disease resistance. Monitor for black spot and aphids. Suñorita® produces vivid, sunny flowers continuously from spring through frost on a compact, spreading plant. An easy-care, disease-resistant landscape rose with cheerful, long-season color.
