Summerific Valentine's Crush Rose Mallow

Plant in moist, well-drained to average soil. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch generously. Mark the crown- hardy hibiscus is very late to emerge in spring.

Water consistently throughout the growing season. Blooms on new wood- cut back to 6 inches from the ground in early spring. Fertilize in spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Largely pest-free. Valentine's Crush produces enormous, deeply saturated, vivid cherry-red to cranberry flowers- a richly colored, romantic display with a Valentine-worthy intensity. Produced continuously from midsummer through fall. Very late to emerge in spring- do not assume it has died before late May or June.
