Plant in average, well-drained soil. Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Water regularly after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought. Prune by removing one-third of the oldest canes at the base immediately after the main spring flowering flush. Fertilize lightly in early spring. Largely pest-free. My Monet® is a dwarf, compact weigela with attractive, variegated foliage- the leaves are edged in creamy-white against a green center, creating a colorful, Impressionist-inspired effect throughout the season. The soft pink tubular flowers add seasonal interest. Attractive to hummingbirds.
