Plant Very Fine Wine® Weigela in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. Space plants 3-4 feet apart. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Once established, water as needed, especially during dry spells. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Prune immediately after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Protect from harsh winter winds.
