Plant in average, well-drained soil. Space 5–6 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought. Prune by removing one-third of the oldest canes at the base immediately after the main spring flowering flush. Fertilize lightly in early spring. Largely pest-free. Wine & Roses® is one of the most popular weigelas ever introduced- the combination of deep, glossy, wine-purple foliage and vivid, hot pink tubular flowers is exceptional. The deep foliage color holds remarkably well through the season. Highly attractive to hummingbirds.
