Girard's Pleasant White Azalea

Plant in moist, well-drained, acidic soil (pH 4.5–6.0) amended with peat moss or compost. Space 4–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch slightly away from the crown.

Water consistently, especially during establishment and hot, dry periods. Prune only immediately after flowering to preserve next year's flower buds. Fertilize in spring with an azalea-specific acid fertilizer. Avoid heavy clay or alkaline soil without proper amendment. Monitor for lace bugs. A reliable, clean white-flowered variety that works well in mixed shrub borders and foundation plantings.
