Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in moist, well-drained soil amended with compost. Space 2–3 feet apart for hedges. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first two seasons; moderately drought tolerant once established. Prune to shape in late spring after new growth hardens off, and lightly again in midsummer if needed. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Monitor for boxwood leafminer and boxwood blight; good air circulation helps reduce disease pressure.
