Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in moist, well-drained soil amended with compost. Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting.

Care Tips

Water regularly the first season; moderately drought tolerant once established. Prune immediately after flowering- deutzia blooms on old wood, so pruning at any other time removes next year's flower buds. Remove 1–3 of the oldest stems at the base after flowering each year. Feed lightly in early spring.
