Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Space 3–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Care Tips

Water deeply and consistently- hydrangeas are thirsty plants that wilt quickly in dry conditions. Bloomstruck blooms on both old and new wood, making it one of the most reliable reblooming bigleaf hydrangeas available. Prune out dead wood in spring but avoid heavy pruning which removes buds. Flower color is affected by soil pH- acidic soil (below 6.0) produces blue flowers; more alkaline soil produces pink. Fertilize in spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Protect from late spring frost where possible.
