Gem Box® Inkberry holly

Plant in moist, well-drained to wet, acidic soil (pH 4.5–6.0). Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Water consistently and generously- inkberry thrives with reliable moisture and tolerates wet, poorly drained conditions well. Prune out one-third of the oldest stems at the base in early spring each year for the best compact form. Fertilize lightly in spring with an acid fertilizer. Gem Box® is a particularly compact, dense, and uniform selection with excellent glossy evergreen foliage and outstanding glossy black berry production in fall that is attractive to birds. Largely pest-free.
