Berry Poppins® Winterberry

Plant in moist, well-drained to wet, acidic soil (pH 3.5–6.5). Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch generously. A male pollinator variety such as Jim Dandy or Apollo must be planted nearby for berry production.

Water consistently and generously- winterberry thrives in moist to wet conditions. Little pruning needed; remove dead or crossing branches in early spring. Fertilize lightly in spring with an acid fertilizer. Berry Poppins® is a compact selection with unusually dense, prolific berry production- the bright red berries pack closely along the stems for a particularly full and vivid winter display. Excellent for smaller gardens where standard winterberry is too large. Largely pest-free.
