Little Henry® Sweetspire

Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Water consistently after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought. Little pruning is needed- remove dead or crossing branches in early spring. Fertilize lightly in spring with an acid fertilizer. Little Henry® is a compact, well-behaved sweetspire with fragrant white flower spikes in early summer and outstanding scarlet-to-burgundy fall foliage. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. A reliable, low-maintenance native shrub well suited to smaller gardens and mixed borders where standard sweetspire is too large.
