Gold Star® Juniper

Plant in average to lean, well-drained to dry soil. Space 4–6 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Excellent drainage is essential- junipers will not tolerate wet or poorly drained soil.

Water regularly after planting; once established it is highly drought tolerant and exceptionally adaptable to lean, sandy, and rocky soils. Little pruning is needed- the natural, spreading, mounding form is the plant's appeal. Fertilize lightly in spring if desired. Gold Star® is a low-growing, spreading juniper with vivid, golden-yellow new growth that brightens through the growing season before taking on warm winter tones. The bold yellow color is striking and distinctive. Largely pest-free. Monitor for spider mites in hot, dry conditions.
