Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly around the base.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Little to no pruning is needed- the naturally dense, star-shaped mounding form is part of its ornamental appeal. Remove any dead branches in early spring. No fertilization is generally needed. The intensely silvery-blue foliage is most vivid in full sun. Largely pest- and disease-free. An outstanding specimen plant for rock gardens, containers, and front-of-border use.
