English Roseum Rhododendron

Plant in spring in acidic, moist, well-drained soil with afternoon shade protection. English Roseum is a large, vigorous, exceptionally cold-hardy rhododendron with lavender-pink flowers in mid-to-late spring. Amend soil with peat or acidic compost if needed. Set the root ball at or just above grade, mulch deeply, and water well. Allow adequate space for this large-growing variety.

Remove spent flower clusters after bloom. Feed with an acid fertilizer in early spring. Keep soil consistently moist. Replenish mulch annually. English Roseum is one of the most cold-hardy and reliable large rhododendrons available — a top choice for gardens in colder zones where many rhododendrons would not survive. The lavender-pink flowers are attractive and the vigorous, large habit provides bold landscape structure.
