Care Tips

Water consistently and generously- willows thrive with reliable moisture and tolerate wet conditions very well. This low, ground-hugging form of willow spreads to form a dense, moisture-loving groundcover. Trim back as needed in late spring to control spread and maintain a tidy habit. No fertilization generally needed in moist, fertile soil. The silvery catkins in early spring are charming and among the first signs of the season. Largely pest-free. Excellent for stabilizing stream banks, pond edges, and wet slopes.
