New Age White Lilac

Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly alkaline to neutral soil amended with compost. Space 6–8 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Water deeply and regularly the first two seasons; once established it is moderately drought tolerant. Prune immediately after flowering- lilacs bloom on old wood and pruning at any other time removes next year's flower buds. Remove spent flower clusters promptly to improve next year's bloom. Fertilize lightly in early spring. Remove any suckers that sprout from the base. Largely pest-free. This compact selection stays smaller than traditional lilacs, making it suitable for smaller gardens.
