This native groundcover produces large, tart red berries that are rich in Vitamin C and ripen late in the season. The evergreen foliage takes on a purplish-bronze hue in winter, providing year-round ground coverage.

Plant Pilgrim Cranberry in acidic, well-drained soil with a pH of 4.5-5.5. Choose a sunny location. Space plants 2-3 feet apart. Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist, especially during dry spells. Fertilize with an acid-loving plant fertilizer in early spring. Prune in late winter to remove dead or weak growth. Protect from frost in colder climates. Harvest berries in fall when they are deep red.
