Vanilla Strawberry™ Panicle Hydrangea

Plant in spring or fall, spacing 6–8 feet apart to allow room for its mature size. Choose a site with fertile, well-drained soil. Dig a generous planting hole, amend with compost, and water deeply after planting. Mulch 3 inches deep around the base. Keep well watered during the first full growing season.

This panicle hydrangea blooms on new wood, so prune in late winter or very early spring before growth begins. Cut stems back by one-third to one-half to promote strong new growth and large flower heads. No deadheading is necessary — the blooms age beautifully from white to pink to deep rose and remain attractive through fall. Fertilize in spring with a balanced fertilizer.
