Wild Swan® Hybrid Anemone

Plant in spring or fall in moist, humus-rich soil in partial shade, spacing 18–24 inches apart. Wild Swan is an exceptional hybrid anemone with pure white flowers with a lavender-blue reverse that blooms from early summer through fall — a remarkably long flowering season for an anemone. Incorporate compost into the planting area. Mulch well to retain moisture. Water well at planting.

Keep soil consistently moist throughout the growing season. Remove spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming. Wild Swan is unusual in that it blooms from early summer through fall — a much longer season than most anemones. Divide every three to four years in spring. Fertilize lightly in spring. The pure white flowers with blue-backed petals are beautiful and the extraordinary bloom duration makes this one of the most valuable shade garden perennials available.
